Special sale at Moschino

Thanks to my very sweet friend Naty, I received an invitation to the samples sale of Moschino's autumn/winter 2010-2011 collection at their headquarters in Milan. All the clothes were discounted by 80%, and bags and other accessories by 70%. There was a lot to get through with a good range of choice, or at least for the luckiest like me who had early access - even though they kept refilling the rooms with new stock, the best items ended up on someone's arm pretty swiftly.
I really apologize for the bad quality of these images, due to my excitement I forgot to take my beloved

Clogs for an instant bohemian look

Clogs are still a staple of A/W 2010. I used to love the Miu Miu clogs of days gone by made from tooled/embossed leather, and since then we have seen models in last season's Chanel clogs and then Alexa Chung in Vogue UK last March: very high heels, studded, with the uppers all one colour. I'm fascinated by their northen attitude.

Welcome home Giuseppe!

Thanks to the special sale at Giuseppe Zanotti Design in Milan, I managed to get my hands on these beautiful peep-toe lace pumps for half the original price. A perfect addition to my shoe stable. Long live the sales!

Cinnamon + Grey

Yesterday I finally managed to take out my vintage Louis Vuitton bag, which I found last September in a vintage market in Cremona - we immediately fell in love! I'm a great fan of vintage and there's nothing quite like feeling the history of a fabulous piece. Moreover, not only is this bag in almost-perfect condition but I was pleased that it had been made with real leather, unlike many recent LV models. (I'm working on a post of my favorite vintage markets - although most of them are in London - which will be

I decided to get organized just in time to find the perfect Christmas gifts. Here's a selection of the treasures I've come across in my "Santa Claus research". It'll be the first of many color-themed compilations... I hope they help generate some gift ideas!

Party season is almost here so I decided to create some looks that will keep you rockin' hot on these cold nights. If like me you love the rock-chic style then with these embellishments you won't be afraid to go all-out, just swap your party dress for a night with these sequined trousers for a groupie look. Soften the top with a basic T-shirt and add a bit of grunge to taste by choosing worn materials. The court shoe is hot this season and these leopard print ones are fabulously retro. Mix everything with statement jewelry.

Too many things to do, so little time

Back on track and always in a rush! I left Stockolm yesterday evening, where I had such an awesome time. It's an inspiring place for many reasons, one of which is a refreshing approach to design. I must add that it was nice to be reminded that the North Italian cold is nothing compared to its Scandinavian counterpart.

Jeffrey Campbell Foxy Wood

Here we go, yesterday was a really lucky day because I found a pair of very difficult shoes to find: The Jeffrey Campbell Foxy Wood, on SALE... lucky me! Plus I added some very cute clogs (always on sale), which I bought at Topshop, along with other little treats. Today is our last day in Stockolm with plenty things to see.... have a good day guys!

Yesterday was a really intensive day, passing in and out of museums and art galleries, chatting and drinking with friends and dancing into the night. It was a perfect day despite the cold... gosh it´s getting colder every day! It's so annoying to have to go through the routine of wrapping up in a hundred anti-chill accessories every time you exit a doorway. The good thing is that everybody is always up for a warming hug and a hot chocolate.

Bracing the cold

Our first day in Stockholm was spent absorbing this great city - long walks and warm treats. We met up with our photographer friend Will, who took us round the best of the bar scene. The city has an extra charm right now with Christmas around the corner. There are some inspirational fashion stores. I've only scratched the surface, visiting most of the high-street stores we have in Italy - although I've found loads of items that

Almost ready for Stockolm : )

Today I'm definiteley in a big hurry! I'm leaving in few hours for Stockolm with Michael, for a short get-away and I still have to pack as much warmie stuff as I can in my hand-luggage that's why I only managed to take these few pictures just behind my building. Hope to get trough to upload some pictures during my jurney. stay tuned! love and share some love.

Sunny day on the river boat

Thanks to this glorious sunny day after loads of blue rainy days, Michael and I (for his very first time) went to have a stroll in the park across the river in my native city Cremona. We took the chance to climb on board a docked boat, which also houses a great restaurant - it was the perfect setting to snap some pictures of the day's outfit.

Big shoulders leather jacket

The shoulder trend that started on Christophe Decarnin's Balmain catwalk for spring/summer 2009 is going strong into autumn/winter 2010-11. 80's power dressing is back with blouses and jackets with exaggerated shoulders matched with short or narrow to maintain a feminine shape.
I also want to mention these awesome bootie shoes, which I found thanks to my very good friend Laura, who knows all the right chiconomic places to buy stunning pieces.

My mad shoe library

I-AM-MAD-FOR-SHOES. There, I've said it. Last summer, in order to have all of them under my gaze, I finally decided to give them the respectable place they're meant to have (I discovered that it's not such an easy procedure when your flat is hardly palatial and you have hundreds of pairs of shoes). I also had to avoid the risk of being trapped under an avalanche

Saturday's purchase

Finally I managed to buy one of my latest objects of desire, the Falabella carry-all bag by Stella McCartney  in black faux suede leather with silver chain embellishment. Renowned for never using leather or fur in her designs, McCartney proves that you don't need these materials to be a success or to be creative. What I love about this bag is its versatility - it can be worn two ways, folded over as a shoulder bag or carried as a tote. I just can't wait to take it out!

BLACK&WHITE

Don't get me wrong, I could spend all day in Topshop and I love Primark, but lately I've picked up some really great numbers by D&G, like this sequin skirt. Here I've matched it with some ankle boots to toughen up the look - it's one way of having your legs out without appearing too slinky or ovetly sexy. However, for a more glamorous look the boots can be matched with a backless dress.

That weekend feeling

Today I woke up with that sweet "thank god it's Friday" feeling and the concrete possibility to dedicate more time to the people I love and to the things I like the most. Unfortunately, I'm always very strict with my free time; I'm a working girl and spend most of my day sitting in front of my laptop in my office, so the fact that a week has just breezed by makes me feel happy. Hope you all have a great weekend!

The sheepskin boot

While the latest catwalks have been full of gorgeous looks for spring/summer 2011, we can't ignore the gloomy, wet weather outside. So, to rescue my feet from the rain and plummeting temperatures, I'm indulging my tootsies in a pair of this season's sheepskin boots. The fur and shearling phenomenon for autumn/winter 2010 is thanks mainly to Chanel and the giant iceberg they installed for their catwalk show in Paris back in February. Fur-clad models waded through the melting water like yetis. The trend

The oversized jacket

Good morning everyone! I want to let you know how pleased I am with the momentum of followers my blog is receiving. Even if I've just begun to post, there's a new follower every day and that makes me sooooo chuffed! : )
Today is the turn of the oversized jacket, a recent purchase that seriously tested my credit card, but it was love at first sight. It's a Stella McCartney number. This fall is focused on fit, with a womanly take on masculine

The party frock

I must apologize for the bad quality of these photos, taken at night, during the birthday party of my sister and friend Federica; but, when I downloaded them, I couldn't help but notice how my dress had morphed from immaculate to marked and stained. I suddenly realized my incapacity to respect my beloved frocks once I'm deep in celebration, and the fact that some of my dresses are so disco-damaged that I'll probably have to stop wearing them is the irrefutable proof of what I'm writing. So, my
I know everybody's talking about the H&M for Lanvin collaboration... and so am I. As a devoted supporter of low-cost fashion I couldn't resist saying something about it.
Designed by Lanvin's artistic director Alber Elbaz, and menswear designer Lucas Ossedrijver, the collection will go on sale on November 23 in around 200 H&M stores worldwide.

hit the stores, which has made the launch of Lanvin for H&M among the most anticipated fashion events of the month.

The skirt girl

The look: rigorously and effortlessly thrown together; tartans and checks mixed with toned-down essetials for a casual, cosy, off-duty autumn afternoon.

The look: rigorosamente non impegnativo, tartan e checks mixati con capi essenziali in tonalità fredde per un pomeriggio casual d'autunno di svago.

My boyfriend is finally back : )

I'm sooo happy! Finally today my boyfriend (Michael) came back to visit me... we don't have the most convenient of relationships because he lives in England and I'm still here in Italy, so yes somentimes we have to get through some lonely moments and that's why when we're back in eachothers' arms we're like silly kids! : )
Today we went to the Navigli area for brunch and I chose my outfit to be as relaxed and comfortabe as possible. The military jacket is still a must as we can see from the latest Burberry Prorsum

The cape

Outwear has never look so chic! From the Yves Saint Laurent's sleek black cape to an urban hooded one at asos.com, the smart girl's key to scene-stealing this season is to pick a cape to finish her look with finesse.

Get the look: Wear your coat as a cape for borrowed-from-the-boyfriend appeal. Simply sling it over your shoulders and go!

Cheap Monday’s rain boot

My reaction  to the new Cheap Monday’s rain boot? DAMN COOL! Fashion is of course a subjective thing and here I’m not talking about their werability and comfort… I’m talking about the fact that these transparent thight-hight boots accessorized with the right items, such as an oversize jumper and a cape, and for the coldest days with a grey wool thight, would look awesome! The zippers are

Playing in the garden!

There’s nothing better than a sunny autumn day to take a bit of care of my very little garden, even though I’m far from having green fingers. I was hyperactive last summer and the garden became a priority. All my energy went into making it! I love statement plants. Roses are my big favorite, they are so tough, it doesn’t matter
